“Glances” is a diffused exhibition that invites you to interact with Campiglia Marittima through the pleasure of discovery. The works do not occupy a traditional exhibition space, but intertwine with the village, appearing along the alleys, on the ancient walls, among the hedges and climbing plants, sometimes almost hidden, as if they had always belonged to those places. The visitor is accompanied on a journey of unexpected encounters, where each sculpture evokes that surprising feeling of having always been there, like reuniting with an old friend.
Thus, the village amplifies its capacity for connection. The works dialogue with the architecture, nature, and daily life, becoming an integral part of the landscape.
Campiglia Marittima, with its historical heritage such as the Parish Church of San Giovanni, offers an ideal art journey. Here, the large transparent faces, which give the exhibition its title, establish a silent dialogue between memory and contemporaneity.
The gaze is the universal language.
Sguardi is an invitation to slow down, to disconnect from the artificial and reconnect with the here and now. Art is not meant to add something to a place, but to reveal what that place has always held and, at its best, to bring us together through it.
